Welcome to FrontRunners Geneva, where we organize weekly runs for the LGBTQIA+ community! Our aim is to promote participation at all levels of running ability while fostering a strong sense of community and solidarity through social activities. We believe in creating a safe, inclusive, and fun environment where everyone is encouraged to join, from beginners to experienced runners.
While we do participate in races throughout the year, our focus is on group participation rather than competitiveness. We value inclusivity, togetherness, and the joy of running as an LGBTIQA+ club in Geneva. Our doors are open to all members who identify as LGBTIQA+.
Occasionally, we also organize weekend runs, allowing members to lead and explore different neighborhoods in Geneva through casual runs, followed by coffee and croissant get-togethers. We additionally arrange special runs for women and non-binary people, providing a safe space for them to participate and get to know our club, with the goal of joining our regular weekly runs.
While athleticism is an integral part of our group, we equally prioritize social connections. In a city with a large international community like Geneva, our group serves as an entry point for LGBTIQA+ members to make friends and adopt a healthy lifestyle while settling in. We organize various social activities, ranging from picnics to cinema outings, and our much-loved holiday gift exchange (Secret Santa) accompanied by a potluck where everyone contributes. Additionally, we proudly participate as a group in Geneva Pride and other Swiss Prides each June, marching in solidarity.
Join FrontRunners Geneva and be part of a supportive running community that extends beyond athleticism, fostering lifelong friendships and a healthy lifestyle while embracing the diverse and vibrant spirit of Geneva.
